About Square Online
Square Online answers the small-merchant question that Shopify’s monthly subscription leaves open. It is a genuinely free online store, monetized through Square’s payment processing (3.3% + 30¢ per online payment on the free plan) instead of subscriptions. Inventory syncs with Square’s point-of-sale, which makes it the path of least resistance for cafés, shops, and market sellers already ringing up sales on Square hardware. The paid Square Plus plan lowers the online card fee and adds marketing tools.
